The VALOI 360 Scanning Hood shades the film from external light when scanning. This is important if you want to keep the room lights on to get good quality scans. With these scanning hoods, you can keep some light on in the room and get a more comfortable working environment.
Compatibility
The 35mm version is only compatible with the standard VALOI 360 35mm Holder, not the Custom Series holders.
The 120 version is only compatible with the VALOI 360 120 Holder.
You can use the Scanning Hoods on any configuration of the VALOI 360, including those with the Advancer, just light Adapter or when using just the holder.
Materials and Use
The hoods are made with FDM printing using a carbon fiber filled plastic. They have a very matte surface that ensures no reflections back on the films.
To use the hoods, you just slide them on from one side of the holder. The attachment mechanism ensures that the hood stays on even if you move the holder.
